The European Business Aviation Summit 2025 (EBAS 2025) is taking place on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 in Brussels.
As we enter the first full year of the new European legislative cycle, key policy debates are taking shape on how to align the EU’s decarbonisation ambitions for aviation with the competitiveness, operational realities, and innovation potential of business aviation.
This year’s Summit will bring together European policymakers and leaders from the business aviation community to discuss how to forge a pragmatic and forward-looking policy framework, supporting sustainability without undermining Europe’s strategic capabilities in advanced aviation technologies and air connectivity.
In this critical moment, the event will explore the future of SAF, tankering obligations, innovation funding, and business aviation’s role as a testbed for green and high-tech solutions.
We look forward to welcoming you in Brussels!
Programme
As RefuelEU approaches its first year since entering into force, it is time to take stock of how implementation is progressing for the business aviation sector and whether the regulation is on track to meet the European Union’s decarbonisation targets. This panel will explore key open questions that remain, including the availability SAF, anti-tankering obligations, and the recognition of a book-and-claim system. With the Regulation’s review scheduled for 2027, this is a crucial moment to assess the regulation’s progress and identify gaps that still need to be addressed.
2024 was a challenging year for some of the most promising European companies developing zero-emission technologies in aviation, with several setbacks highlighting the difficulties of building profitable, innovation-oriented aviation businesses in Europe. As a global competition in the aerospace sector intensifies, is Europe at risk of missing its chance to lead the next chapter of aviation innovation? This panel will unpack the role of business aviation as a driver of this technological revolution and examine what European policymakers can do to reverse the current trend, including European funds. This challenging moment can be turned into an opportunity to build a solid foundation to help European innovators shape a competitive and green future in aviation.
